By accessing or using MODVC and any of our services — including Music, Convert, Play, and Type (collectively, the "Services") — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and MODVC. They apply to every visit, every upload, every game, and every word you write through any of our tools.

MODVC is an independent studio that builds small, friendly software. Our services include:

• Music (modvc.org) — our home and a quiet place to listen.
• Convert (convert.modvc.org) — a free, browser-based file conversion tool.
• Play (play.modvc.org) — small games and playful experiments.
• Type (type.modvc.org) — a clean space to write and share short texts.

Some Services may be free, some may carry optional paid features, and some may evolve, merge, or be discontinued over time. We'll do our best to give reasonable notice when meaningful changes happen.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher). If you're under 18, you should have permission from a parent or guardian.

Most MODVC tools work without an account. Where an account is offered, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your login credentials private and secure.
• Be responsible for all activity that happens under your account.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

We want MODVC to feel safe and welcoming. When using any Service — and especially shared spaces like Play — you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, bully, impersonate, or harm other people.
• Post hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or violent content.
• Cheat, exploit bugs, use bots, or interfere with fair play.
• Share content that is illegal, infringing, deceptive, or fraudulent.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or break our infrastructure.
• Use the Services to send spam, malware, or unsolicited commercial messages.

We may remove content, restrict access, or suspend accounts that break these rules — sometimes with a warning, sometimes without, depending on severity.

Convert lets you transform files between formats. By using it you confirm that:

• You own the files you upload, or have the necessary rights and permissions to convert them.
• The files do not contain unlawful content, malware, or material that infringes someone else's rights.
• You understand conversion is provided as-is; the resulting file may differ from the original in quality, metadata, or fidelity depending on the formats involved.

Files are processed only as long as needed to complete the conversion and are then removed from our systems. We do not view, sell, or share your files. See our Privacy Policy for more.

Convert is offered for personal and reasonable use. We may rate-limit, block, or pause access if usage is automated, abusive, or threatens service stability for others.

Some Services — like Type and Play — let you create or share content (text, scores, drawings, configurations). You keep ownership of what you create. By submitting content, you grant MODVC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and transmit that content solely so that we can operate and improve the Services.

You're responsible for what you publish. Don't share things that are illegal, harmful, or that aren't yours to share. We may remove user content at our discretion if it violates these Terms or applicable law.

The MODVC name, logo, designs, source code, illustrations, written content, and original interface elements are owned by MODVC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from them without written permission, except as allowed by law (for example, fair use, or open-source components under their respective licenses).

We try to collect as little personal data as possible. For the full details, see our Privacy Policy. In short:

• We don't sell your data. Ever.
• Files uploaded to Convert are processed and then deleted.
• We use minimal analytics to understand how Services are used and to fix problems.
• We use cookies or local storage only where they're needed (for example, to remember your theme).

The Services may link to or rely on third-party providers (for example, hosting, fonts, or analytics). We choose them carefully, but we don't control them. Your use of any third-party service is subject to that provider's own terms and privacy policy. MODVC isn't responsible for content, products, or practices of third-party sites.

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any output will be accurate or fit for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MODVC and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill arising out of your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 50.

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end your access — temporarily or permanently — if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue a Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, and Governing Law) will continue to apply.

MODVC grows and changes, and so will these Terms. When we make material updates, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top, and where appropriate, give notice on the affected Service. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the jurisdiction in which MODVC operates, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country provide otherwise.
